Dating back to our earliest 8" floppy disk loader, Ashby duplicators have always been based on simple and direct inclined-plane designs combined with patented FIFO (First In, First Out) disc handling. Innovations implemented using heavy gauge aluminum construction and only the best pneumatic components.  With the advent of the multi-drive, automatic CD-R duplicator, this design philosophy continues, and the advantages are more pronounced than ever.

Ashby systems are 100% pneumatic. Utilizing the finest and most robust pneumatic components available yields systems that are exceptionally reliable and consistent. Discrete, low-motion pneumatic devices makes our systems highly durable, and fully intended to run around-the-clock in the most demanding applications.

Industrial usage requires industrial strength. The core mechanical components of all Ashby duplication systems are constructed of 1/2" anodized extruded aluminum plate for rigid form and precise milling characteristics. Disc motion is controlled by long life pneumatic cylinders made with mirror finish 304 stainless steel bodies and threaded steel pistons, and oil-impregnated bronze seals ensure a long life.

"Gravity feed design" means that instead of relying on friction, our systems rely on the lack of it: No rubber wheels, belts or other contact points to get dirty or wear down. No flimsy extended robotic arms with precarious grippers -- just constant, predictable and gentle gravity with as few moving parts as possible.

All of this bulletproof loading technology would be a waste of time without quality control systems and drives doing the disc duplication.  That's why Ashby employs R-Quest™ controllers and the latest drives in all our stand-alone duplication systems. Like Ashby autoloaders, R-Quest™ controllers are designed from the ground up to do one thing very, very well: duplicate CDs simply and powerfully.
