Microboards GX Disc Publisher
Print and Burn Like a Professional,
Without the Professional Expense
|

|
Introducing the Microboards GX Series. You
just won't find another professional all-in-one CD/DVD publishing
system with all these features. If you have been waiting to buy a
desktop solution, or are wrestling with legacy systems that offer
poor print quality and unreliable automation, then it's time to
graduate to the ROI champion: the GX.
Overview
What makes the GX such a winner? Lets
start with something people rarely think about: footprint. At only
11.5 inches wide, the GX can slip into places you just couldn't fit
the competition. Finding a corner of your office to transform into a
DVD production station just got easier.
Much of the credit for this lean
physical design goes to the innovative and patented disc movement
technology employed by the GX -- a method that you won't find
anywhere else - not to mention the speed and reliability of this
unique mechanism. Once you see the GX in action, you'll wonder how
you ever put up with slow, finicky robotic arms on your desktop.
Next up: the cost of doing business.
At about 20¢ per print (full coverage; full color; 1200 dpi photo
normal), the GX has a lower cost-per-print than any other printer,
with some of the competition costing over 40¢. Any price premium
paid for the GX compared to a "bargain" publishing system is paid
for in a few hundred discs. Ink cost is one of the most overlooked
aspects when shopping for disc publishers. This can amount to
hundreds or thousands of dollars over the life of the machine.
If the cost savings aren't enough,
let's talk about print quality and speed. The GX utilizes the
latest Hewlett Packard print engine, including their new Vivera
inks, which deliver the brightness and durability needed for
photo-quality disc printing. Up to 4800 dpi is possible, making for
the crispest images available. As for speed: about 108 seconds for a
full coverage, Photo Quality, Normal mode; 20 seconds for full
coverage, Text and Graphics, Best mode. Most jobs will fall
somewhere in between.
With all this talk of efficiency and
printing prowess, it's easy to overlook the reason we're all here:
burning discs. With the refined combination of Microboards
tried-and-true dispensing design and a cutting edge 18x DVD/48X CD
writer, the GX burns at nearly 100% yield with quality
duplication-grade media -- even dual layer -- lightning fast.
Finally, what good is quality
output, if it's difficult or hard to create? The GX comes with
powerful, easy-to-use software, for both Windows and Mac host
computers: PrassiTech Zulu2 for PC, Charismac Discribe for Mac, and,
as a bonus, SureThing CD Labeler 4 SE, Microboards Edition, also for
the PC.
