Ashby Warranty Statement 

Ashby services what it sells, and in that spirit, would always like to be your first source of technical assistance when experiencing difficulties with any of the products we provide, whether manufactured by Ashby or not.  This helps us to track the performance of the products that we don't manufacture.  In addition, we have discovered that most problems can be solved over the phone, as long as the service representative asks the right questions, is patient, and thorough: things we know we provide (to find out how to get technical support, click here).

Authorized service for systems manufactured by Ashby Industries, Inc. is available only at the Ashby repair depot, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  If it is determined that service is required an RMA number will be issued for the shipment of the product.  If it is determined by the Ashby Service Representative that service is required for a product not manufactured by Ashby Industries, you will be given instructions on how to contact the manufacturer's technical support department to gain further assistance or arrange for product servicing/shipment.

Due to the potential for extensive and unrecoverable expenses relating to the servicing of equipment by overseas clients, the Ashby Lifetime Warranty applies only to units installed within the borders of the U.S.  Overseas installations receive a One Year Warranty, described in detail below.  The Lifetime Warranty applies to the entire machine with the exception of the Duplication Controller Board which has a 2-year warranty.   Disk drive warranties are 30 days from the ship date of the system.  The customer is responsible for all freight charges to and from the Ashby Service Center in Oklahoma City, OK unless other arrangements have been explicitly made.

STATEMENT OF LIMITED WARRANTY
FOR AUTOMATIC DISKETTE DUPLICATION MACHINES
MANUFACTURED BY ASHBY INDUSTRIES, INC.

Applies to: Series 800M Standalone Duplicators, Series 800A Autoloaders, Autoloader portion of the JIT3 Finished Disk Maker.  All other products purchased from Ashby Industries Inc. that are manufactured by another source will have warranties as described by the original manufacturer.  

Ashby Industries, Inc. warrants diskette duplication systems manufactured by Ashby Industries, Inc. to be free from defects in workmanship or material under normal use for the life of the machine by the original end-user/purchaser, when installed in a United States facility, with the exception of the electronic components, which are warranted for two (2) years, and the disk drive or drives, which are warranted for a period of thirty (30) days.  Units installed in facilities outside the United States are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship or material under normal use for a period of one (1) year by the original end-user/purchaser, with the exception of the disk drive or drives, which are warranted for a period of thirty (30) days  During this warranty period, Ashby Industries, Inc., at its option, will repair or replace any component parts which in its opinion prove to be defective, without charge for either parts or labor. This warranty does not apply to products which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accidents, misapplication or tampering in a way so as to affect the products normal operation.

Note: The printer portion of the JIT3 Finished Disk Maker is warranted for one (1) year.  If repair cannot be completed by Ashby Industries, Inc. the unit must be serviced directly by LSK Data Systems.

Products to be repaired under the terms of this limited warranty must be returned by the original end-user/purchaser, packed in the original shipping container,and shipped prepaid to the address noted below. A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained from Ashby Industries, Inc. Prior to the return of the defective material. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND DESCRIBED REMEDY ARE EXCLUSIVE AND EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT WILL ASHBY INDUSTRIES, INC. BE LIABLE TO PURCHASER FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND OR CHARACTER.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
